My Spy, the film with Dave Bautista, is released directly on Prime Video
Dark cinemas are closing and the film industry must organize to broadcast its productions. Like many films, My Spy with Dave Bautista avoids the cinema box and comes out directly on Prime Video.
We will not see Dave Bautista again on the big screen. The American actor and wrestler is starring in a family comedy My Spy which will eventually air on Amazon Prime Video. Scheduled to hit theaters on April 17, the feature tells the adventures of a CIA spy who finds himself stuck with a little girl after she discovers her mission. To protect his blanket, the character will have to teach him the tricks of the trade. A shocking duo that will certainly offer some beautiful action scenes. Whoever plays Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy will share the screen with Chloe Coleman.
The little girl is also playing a Disney + comedy, Timmy Failure: mistakes have been made. Kristen Shaal (Last Man on Earth) will also be on hand as the spy’s partner, while Parisa Fitz-Henley will play the mother’s mother. In the script, we find two regulars of the genre since it was Erich and John Hoeber who worked on the feature film. The duo notably worked on RED with Bruce Willis. Finally, it’s Peter Segal (Love and Amnesia) who will be behind the camera. It is not yet known when it will be available on Amazon Prime Video, but the platform should quickly announce a release date.
It seems that at a time when movie theaters have closed, SVoD is the preferred alternative for industry giants. Several firms have made this choice, like Disney. As the platform arrives in France, Artemis Fowl will soon join the catalog. The film was due to be released on May 29, but will arrive directly on Disney +. He will not be the only one concerned since Disney announces that other films could follow the same path, according to Bob Iger, the CEO of the company.
