Halo: Season 2 is officially on track

The Halo series is leaving for a second season, which has just started filming. All the info we have so far.

After Cyberpunk Edgerunners released on Netflix this week, there’s another adaptation worth talking about. This is the Halo series, commissioned by Paramount, which began its first season a little earlier this year. If we knew that it had been renewed, we have just learned that the filming of the next episode burst is on the right track.

On Twitter, the official account of the series has just shared the first image of filming, on which we can see Pablo Schreiber, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy and Natasha Culzac in their Spartan uniform. Far from the hassle of the fictitious war which opposes them to the Covenant aliens, the actors seem ready to return to service under the leadership of Kyle Killen and Steven Kane.

Along with the photo, Paramount gives us a short message that explains: “The Spartans have landed in Iceland! The production of season 2 of the series Halo begins now“. So we left for a few months of filming at least. This does not give us much advance on the release date of season 2, but we should have more information on this subject in the coming weeks. In any case, we can expect a few months of post-production in view of the special effects required. A release next spring is not to be ruled out.

A controversial first season

It remains to be seen now if the fans will be there. When it was released last March, the first episodes were not unanimous, especially among viewers who are fans of video games. If we found the series rather coherent and promising, it is clear that the opinions were mixed with regard to the choice of scenario and especially the fact that the Major finally reveals his face to us.

Hidden for more than 20 years, the hero has finally taken off for better or for worse. Some are already predicting a big fallout from the audience for the second burst of episodes, and therefore the cancellation of the series even before the production of the third season. Fortunately, we are not there yet, and we will have to be patient to find out where all this will lead us.
