Solar Opposites: the series of the creator of Rick and Morty reveals a first crazy teaser
While we await the rest of season 4 of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland will return soon with a new animated series to keep out of reach of children.
If they look like the offspring of Pickle Rick and Mr. Meeseeks, the characters of Solar Opposites have nothing to do with Rick and Morty (unless the multiverse is hiding behind it, you never know). The co-creator of the Adult Swim series, Justin Roiland, is exported to Hulu and this time is not accompanied by Dan Harmon, but by Mike McMahan, who participated in the executive production and the writing of some Rick and Morty episodes. The spirit therefore remains very close with identical animation and protagonists almost as disturbed as the depressed scientist and his family, as we see in the first images.
Hulu’s series will thus tell how four extraterrestrials must adapt to life on Earth, and more particularly in the American suburbs, after they have left their home planet. Solar Opposites will be the opportunity to find Justin Roiland dubbing for the alien Korvo, who like his counterpart Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) find our planet hostile, between pollution, consumerism and the weakness of humans. Their vision is opposed to that of Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) who appreciate their new daily life, especially television, junk food and other “funny things”.
They are all united by a mission, that of protecting the Pupa, a living supercomputer which seems to be intended to make Earth habitable again. The scenario therefore looks like a big mix between Les Zinzins de L’Espace, American Dad! and of course Rick and Morty, with the same quirky and trash humor in addition to narcotic stories.
