Avatar sequels reveal their aquatic Pandora a little more in new visuals
The Avatar sequels have been pushed back so much that we’ve started to forget about them. Fortunately, the Twitter account reminds us of their existence on occasion.
Failing to put big ads in the mouth, we even follow it carefully. So far, the promotion has only shown a few photos from the shoot, just to confirm the development of the project, now that the Fox has been bought by Disney. In production for years, the Homeric blockbuster promised by its creator James Cameron has slightly exhausted its stock of revelations.
What the filmmaker’s fans are now asking for are images, and especially the release of the film before they die from natural causes.
However, a sacred mystery hangs around this fiddling with suites. Cameron is still broken in the exercise, since he is responsible for Terminator 2 and Aliens, the return, two second installments which seriously question the rule of “The 2 is worse”. More than a simple capitalization on a universe, it seeks above all to enlarge it, to give it new perspectives. Originally, we thought that the innovations would be primarily technological, with for example the use of HFR, but it would seem that this is not the case.
What is certain is that this second film will not be limited to the extremely rich visual universe of the first opus. And the official Twitter account, still in good shape, has just confirmed it with a burst of concept arts supposed to account for the diversity of the environments that await us. The director of Abyss should explore the four corners of Pandora, multiplying the atmospheres and landscapes according to the adventures of the Na’vi.
What revive interest in these four films, scheduled for now for December 15, 2021, December 20, 2023, December 17, 2025 and December 15, 2027. With such a calendar, we will have to survey Pandora, or even its surrounding, long, wide and cross. We are convinced that this is what James Cameron has in mind.
