Netflix: news from the sequel to Death Note
The second installment of the live Death Note movie will see the light of day. After a year of silence on this project, new information was released.
Difficult to remain objective in the Netflix adaptation of the famous manga written by Tsugumi Ohba, released on the platform in 2017. The director Adam Wingard has, it is true, taken risks by trying to group 13 volumes of manga in a film of 1:40. But the result did not please critics or fans, far from it. Despite everything Netflix seems determined to produce a sequel. The idea had already been launched in August 2018 but for a year, the project was no longer talk about him. Till today.
Greg Russo spoke this week on Twitter about the project:
Even if Greg Russo’s lyrics are meant to be reassuring, we can only be cautious when we see the adaptation of 2017. The fans also commented on Greg Russo’s comments by expressing their fears. It only remains to wait for new information around this suite.
Death Note manga was born between 2003 and 2006. The work focuses on the 17-year-old Light Yagami, a young student who discovers a strange notebook: the book of the god of death, Ryuk. This notebook contains terrible and dangerous mysteries that Light will discover quite quickly. Anyone with his name written in the death book dies within 40 seconds.
