New Horror Movie : Child’s Play

The Buddi doll is the friend of children. But an employee of the manufacturing plant, after being badly treated by his manager, integrates a dysfunction in one of them before committing suicide. Of course, the doll will be really less fun …

The film generally takes the scenario of the original film. We find Andy and his single mother, a police inspector and many elements leading to the work of Tom Holland (or even more Don Mancini, currently working on a series that will extend his saga, which this film is detached) .

But this time, the doll Buddi (goodbye Brave Gars) is a connected doll, which gives him necessarily access to new possibilities of murder. In addition, Andy is hard of hearing (which is not widely used) and scenario changes often result from new possibilities offered by the technology.

Surprisingly bloody, the film manages many times to regain the grace of the first films of the saga. There is also the humor of the character. About Chucky besides, one will emphasize the foul design of the character (one of the rare weak points of the weak one), associated with the choice of William Coryn for the VF.

Not that the actor is bad (he is very good, as always), but he already doubles the doll in the original saga, which may cause confusion … For the rest, we rarely have the opportunity to get in front of horror works lately so let’s look at this one, even if it has some inconsistencies and weaknesses from time to time, it’s still enjoyable. And I do not see any harm in seeing it continue in parallel with that of Don Mancini!
